Associate Programs
The credit union promotes its Board and Supervisory Committee Associate Programs to increase member involvement, emphasize the member-owned philosophy, develop potential directors and members, and provide succession. The participant’s ability to meet the time commitments and interest in the credit union’s vision and mission is vital to the programs’ success. Associate applications are reviewed each year and interviewed and appointed based on current needs.
The Associate Board position is a one-year term. The candidate who will best serve the credit union will understand the role of a Board of Directors, concern for the credit union’s development, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
The Associate Supervisory Committee position is a two-year term. Preferred candidate qualifications include knowledge of board governance, and the ability to interpret and assess the implications of audit reports.
