Now accepting applications for the 2021 Board & Supervisory Committee Election
TwinStar Credit Union’s Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee are accepting applications for the 2021 open positions. The Board and Supervisory Committee candidates who receive the greatest number of votes will be elected. All applications must be received by 5:30 p.m., Monday, October 26, 2020.
Candidates must be:
- A primary member in good standing for at least 90 days prior to the Annual Meeting, Thursday, March 11, 2021.
- At least 18 years of age.
The Nominating Committee will use additional qualifications, disclosed in the Application Packet, to select candidates.
The credit union promotes its Board and Supervisory Committee Associate Programs to increase member involvement, emphasize the “member-owned” philosophy, develop potential directors and members, and provide volunteer succession. The participant’s ability to meet the time commitments and interest in the credit union’s vision and mission is vital to the programs’ success. Associate positions are appointed each March for terms starting in April.
The Board Associate position is a one-year term. The candidate who will best serve the credit union will have an understanding of the role of a Board of Directors, concern for the credit union’s development, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
The Supervisory Committee Associate position is a two-year term. Preferred candidate qualifications include knowledge of board governance, and the ability to interpret and assess the implications of auditors’ reports.
