After more than a year of planning and building, we are excited to be in our new Aberdeen branch, just across the street from our old building. The move has been a long time coming for our Aberdeen branch—one of our busiest—since it was built over 30 years ago. We carefully considered updates to improve member experience, branch functionality, and workplace excellence. The new building features tall ceilings, minimalist design, modern office spaces, and a new tech bar. Also, the new branch offers Saturday hours (9:30 am-2:00 pm) to accommodate our members’ changing needs.
Our long-time members need not worry. The new branch offers all the familiar services and the employees they’ve come to know over the years. A new addition is BreAnn Turner, our new Aberdeen Branch Manager, who previously served at the Hoquiam branch. Our team is ready to assist our members in navigating the new building and in taking full advantage of our services. Our old building currently functions as a drive-through. Eventually, the building will be converted into multiple drive-through lanes.
Many of our Grays Harbor members have been with us for a long time, so we wanted to give them special thanks. On our opening day, we gave donuts to visitors at our new branch. On June 6, we held a Member Appreciation Day lunch. Members also had the chance to win prizes by entering their information at our new tech bar. Winners included Clara, who won a $50 Gas Card, and Donna, who won a $500 Visa Gift Card.
As our CU continues to grow, opportunities arise to innovate and improve our services. What never changes, however, is our dedication—over nearly 80 years—to serving our members.
