Frequently Asked Questions

Pick Your Pic card program enables credit union members to design their credit and debit cards with pictures of loved ones, pets, and friends; or they may choose from a gallery of stock card designs. Below are a few answers to questions you may have:

 

Who can create a personalized card?

 

Members with an eligible TwinStar Debit, Classic Visa, Platinum Rewards Visa, Platinum Visa, Business Debit, Business Platinum card. (ATM and Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) Cards are excluded)

 

Can a Joint Owner have a different photo on their card?

Yes. Each signer on the account can have their own unique photo card.

How many times can I update the image on my card?

There is no limit to the number of times an image can be changed.

Can a personalized image be rejected by TwinStar?

Yes. Besides the obvious, such as violent images, firearms, etc., we will reject any photo that displays a trademarked name. We reserve the right to reject any design if it doesn't project our desired brand image or infringes someone else's rights. How will I know if an image is accepted or rejected?

Images are approved once a week and an email notification will be sent once the image is approved or rejected.

What will happen when the card expires?

Upon expiration, a new card will be sent with the same image currently on your card at no cost.

What will happen if I change my card type?

If you change card types (Classic to Platinum, etc.) a new card will need to be issued. The new card will have a new card number and a new image will need to be loaded.

What if my card is lost or stolen?

If your card is lost or stolen, a new card will need to be issued. The new card will have a new card number and a new image will need to be loaded.

What if my card is damaged?

If your card is damaged and needs to be reissued, you can choose to keep the current image at no additional fee or you can select a new image.

How will I receive my card?

Cards will be mailed to you via the US Postal service.

How long will it take for me to receive the card?

It could take up to seven to ten days after the photo is submitted online and approved by TwinStar.

Will any financial or personal information be transferred to the design service?

We do not transfer or share any financial information. Limited personal information will only be used to assist the design service in verifying the identity of users and their cards. The design service will not use any personal information in any other way.

How does Pick You Pick work?

Card customization is easy. Simply follow the instructions below:

  1. Click on the Pick Your Pic link via the credit union's website to start the process.
  2. Upload your own photo or select an image from the online gallery.
  3. Customize the look of your card by enlarging, cropping, rotating, adding a border or text.
  4. Once you are satisfied with the look of your card, fill out the identifying information needed and hit the submit button.

What format does the digital photo need to be in?

The photo needs to be a digital photo in .JPG, .PNG, .GIF, .TIFF or .BMP format. The image needs to be at least 840 x 840 pixels and the file size should not exceed 10 megabytes (MB).

Where does the digital photo need to be stored?

Images will need to be stored in a location accessible by the internet.

How do I ensure cards looks as good as possible?

Choose a clear, sharply focused image, preferably taken at a high resolution. You can also use photo editing software to enhance the photo prior to uploading it; however, it is not mandatory.
