Are you a victim of identity theft?
Three basic steps to be taken IMMEDIATELY:
FIRST, contact the fraud departments at each of the three major credit bureaus. Tell them that you're an identity theft victim and request that a "fraud alert" be placed in your file.

SECOND, contact the security departments at all of the creditors for any accounts that have been fraudulently accessed or opened.
THIRD, file a report with your local police or the police where the identity theft took place. If your wallet is lost or stolen, also call and cancel all of your credit cards.
