Happy Hanukkah from TwinStar

Happy Hanukkah displayed over a menorah

Hanukkah, also commonly known as the Festival of Lights, commemorates the recovery of Jerusalem and dedication of the Second Temple — and is observed for eight days and nights. This year, Hanukkah begins Sunday, December 18 and ends Monday, December 26.

The most common way that people observe Hanukkah is through lighting candles. A candle is lit each night during the holiday, each of which sits on a menorah that holds nine candles. The ninth candle is used to light the other candles. Other popular Hanukkah celebrations include singing Hanukkah songs, playing dreidel, and eating oil-based foods such as latkes and sufganiyot.

We, at TwinStar, wish all of our TwinStar Credit Union members and employees who celebrate Hanukkah a happy and safe holiday season.
