To help members pursue additional education, TwinStar Credit Union offers scholarships to both graduating high school seniors and older students seeking college education. Nearly $46,000 is awarded each year.

Higher Education Scholarships

Each year TwinStar Credit Union offers eight scholarships of $2000 each to members pursuing higher education. You must have been out of high school for at least one year to apply.

TwinStar’s Higher Education Scholarship Program begins on June 1. Applications may be obtained at any branch location or downloaded here. The submission deadline is July 31. Scholarships are awarded in August and September.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicant must be a member of the Credit Union, in good standing.
  • Application must be accompanied by a copy of school enrollment or acceptance letter.
  • Application must be accompanied by a high school or college transcript (unofficial is acceptable).

Cheri Kennedy Child Daycare Scholarship Award

This scholarship application is available for a single working parent, enrolled in a college, university or vocational school with at least 8 credit hours per quarter. The scholarship will be in an amount up to $5,000, covering a 12 month period from September through August.

Submissions are accepted between April 1 and June 1 each year. The Scholarship is awarded in September. Applications are made available at all branches and on our website.

High School Scholarships

This scholarship program is for current high school seniors who will graduate in June 2019 and plan to attend an institution of higher learning in the fall 2019. Applications are made available to members starting January 1 and due by March 31.

The TwinStar Community Foundation will be awarding fifteen $2,000 scholarships to members who will be graduating from high school in 2019. Scholarships are awarded to recipients in May and June at the student's high school awards ceremony.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicant must be a member of the Credit Union, in good standing.
  • High school must be located within the Credit Union's approved service area.
  • Application must be accompanied by a current high school transcript.
