To celebrate this wonderful holiday with our members and employees of Asian descent, we are providing red cash envelopes (while supplies last) at all of our branches.

The giving of red envelopes is a longstanding tradition in many Asian cultures and commonly occurs during the Lunar New Year. The color red symbolizes good fortune and luck in Chinese culture, which is why red envelopes are used in celebrating Lunar New Year.

While red envelopes are usually given at this time of year, they are also used for other celebratory events – or on occasions to wish someone good luck.
