With June being Pride Month, our amazing DEI and Development team sat down to discuss TwinStar’s ongoing commitment to DEI — and highlight some of our recent efforts to be more inclusive. About the Presenters
Ashley Lax is the Director of DEI & Development for TwinStar Credit Union. Prior to that, she spent more than nine years at the University of Wisconsin, where she helped create social justice programs and initiatives for the campus community. She has experience in advocacy for gender equity, trans rights, accessibility, and anti-racism and strives to remove barriers for all underrepresented communities.
Sam Jensen is the DEI & Development Manager at TwinStar Credit Union. With a background in the credit union industry spanning the past seven years, he has played a role in fostering inclusive workplaces with a focus on wellbeing, belonging, and driving positive organizational change. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Sam is proud to bring his transgender and queer perspectives to conversations in advocating for and promoting authenticity and safety for marginalized and underrepresented communities.
