Scholarships

To help members pursue additional education, TwinStar Credit Union offers scholarships to both graduating high school seniors and older students seeking college education. Nearly $30,000 is awarded each year.

High School Scholarships

Applications are made available to members starting January 1 each year and are due by March 31.

Applications are available at all branches, on our website, and at high schools throughout our service area.

Scholarships are awarded to recipients in May and June at the student’s high school awards ceremony.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicant must be a member of the Credit Union, in good standing.
  • High school must be located within the Credit Union’s approved service area.
  • Application must be accompanied by a current high school transcript.

Higher Education Scholarships

Each year TwinStar Credit Union offers eight scholarships of $1000 each to members pursuing higher education. You must have been out of high school for at least one year to apply.

Applications are made available on June 1 each year and are due by July 31.

Scholarships are awarded in August.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicant must be a member of the Credit Union, in good standing.
  • Application must be accompanied by a copy of school enrollment or acceptance letter.

Grants are also available for educators in the five counties of our service area.
